Lion - panthera leo - ingonyama - ibbubesi
People of the African Zulu tribe call the lion ingonyama, which can be translated as “master of all flesh.” However, the word carries a deeper meaning – ngo is an ancient term for “very highly elevated,” and nyama means flesh or power. Another Zulu word for lion is ibhubesi – “the one who delivers the final judgment.” Not only for indigenous people is the lion the king of all animals and a just judge. As a predator at the top of the food chain, lion maintains perfect balance
