Rhinos are among the oldest mammals on our planet. For thousands of years, they have been a symbol of strength, resilience, and endurance. Yet in nature, they play an even more vital role – they are the architects of the landscape. Through their grazing and movement, they shape the savannas, disperse seeds, and help maintain balance in the entire ecosystem.
Poaching for a completely worthless piece of horn – valued on the black market more highly than gold – has decimated their populations. Every year, hundreds of orphaned calves are left behind, needing care to have a chance at survival.
